ICC Cricket World cup: India registers fourth consecutive win; Defeats Bangladesh by seven wickets, Virat Kohli smashes 48th ODI Century

India beat Bangladesh by seven wickets in a thrilling match played at Pune. This is team India’s fourth straight win in this world cup season. Virat Kohli(103*) smashed his 48th ODI century. He also made fastest 26000 runs in 567 innings breaking the record of Sachin Tendulkar who made it in 600 innings.

Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first and scored 256 runs with the loss of eight wickets. Indian batters achieved this target in 41.3 overs losing three wickets. Along with Kohli, Shubhman Gill’s 53 and Rohit Sharma’s 48 runs led India to triumph against Bangladesh.

Even though India has won all of its games in this world cup season, it is still behind New Zealand in the points standings since the latter has a higher net run rate than India.
